Course description
Waar is dat? Where is it? Start learning Dutch in Maastricht. Practical, fast language course for foreigners / expats based on the unique Epimedium method. Getting a grip on the basics of the Dutch language in seven lessons -- and picking up useful insights on Dutch culture as well.

Each Epimedium A1 Dutch for beginners course is centered around other communicative themes and skills. Each lesson has its own theme. In addition to this special attention is given to sentence patterns in Dutch and basic grammar.

In each A1 Level course you will learn step by step using the forms of the present tense. Other aspects of Dutch grammar are trained as well. Grammatical terminology will be kept to a minimum; special attention will be given to the specific difficulties foreign learners encounter when learning Dutch. (Explanations are adapted as much as possible to the structure of your own mother tongue.)

Subjects in this course include: asking for and pointing out the right directions, buying tickets, having your car fixed at the garage, describing your house or appartment, discussing characteristics (being big, small, cheap, expensive, easy, difficult...). The emphasis is on talking and listening skills, but reading and writing are trained as well.

Dutch for beginners with Epimedium
Epimedium A1 Dutch for beginners consists of four separate courses. The build-up of the Epimedium language courses is such that each series of seven lessons forms a whole and can be followed as a stand-alone course. What makes the Epimedium method unique is the fact that each beginner’s course is equally suitable for absolute beginners with no prior knowledge of Dutch and for those who have already followed one, two or three of the other Epimedium beginner’s courses. After attending all four courses succesfully you will master Dutch at A1 level.
